		Candidate Master Title of FIDE awarded to MCA Chairman R.V. Gokhale.. Congratulation, NubairShah Shaikh won 2 Gold medals in Asian School Chess Championshiph held at Shri Lanka. World Champion Vishy Anand Welcomed By MCA Secretary Vijay Deshpande. Abhijit Gupta,Winner of 36th National Junior Chess Championship-2007 held at Aurangabad Shri Bhausaheb Padsalgikar has recieved the JEEVAN GAURAO AWARD by Govt. of Maharashtra. Kruttika Nadig, Pune has been awarded Chhatrapati Award by Govt. of Maharashtra. Pratik Patil bagged gold medal in International school chess cup (U-13 group) held at Greece. Mitali Patil bagged Gold Medal in World Amature Chess Championship Woman Group held at GreeceNubairshah Shaikh won two Silver Medals ( one indivisual+ one team) in U-11 open category in 4th World schools chess championships, Singapore (23 to 31st July 2008 ). by earning 7 points , he won Silver. Indian team also win Silver by earning 19.5 points( Nubair 7.0, Cyrus 6.5, Kaushik 6.0). Indian team fall short by 0.5 points to earn Gold. Kaushik Bhave won Silver medal in Singapore. Kaushik Bhave has participated in 4th World School Championship at Singapore. Kaushik got silver medal in the age group U-11 as Indian team stood 2nd in World school Chess Championship. In Open U-11 agegroup scores of Indian team members are Nubair Shaikh -7, Cyreus Perrera -6.5and Kaushik Bhave -6. The team medals in the age groups are Turkey - Gold , India - Silver , Singapore - Bronze.
